Hello
I am Dr Veenu Sharma.In 2021, I became one of the first few IBLM certified(International Board of Lifestyle Medicine) Lifestyle Medicine Physicians of India. I did my MD in Anesthesia and have over 20 years of experience as an anaesthesiologist.
I have always been very passionate about this holistic wellbeing and promoting positive health. My passion for promoting health and working on the root cause of diseases, especially chronic diseases, inspired me to make a transition from anaesthesia to lifestyle medicine.
I strongly believe that our health is determined by the lifestyle choices we make and so each and every individual holds the power to stay healthy. The food we eat has more healing powers than medicines and staying physically active can open the doors to all the vitality and mood uplifting hormones. Besides food and exercise, our relationship with Self, our emotions and our social well being, have a huge role to play with regards to our health. Thus it is important to address all these when we talk of holistic health and well being.
My mission is to simplify health for everyone and enable people to take charge of it, so that they can be their healthiest version.

Finally! My struggle with weight loss has finally come to an end. I thought exercising is all we need to lose weight. But now after meeting Dr. Veenu I realized that what we eat is as important, or probably more. I now live by her mantra to consider your body as a temple, and we don't let dirty or impure things enter temples, then why should we allow unhealthy and junk food enter our body? This motto has changed my perspective towards food, Now I judge every food with the thought if this is acceptable to my body. Thanks a lot Dr. Veenu for this.

Quite contrary to some of the earlier dieting programs that I had followed earlier (and gained back what ever weight I lost in few weeks / months), the experience with Dr Veenu Sharma was very different. Her holistic approach towards healthy living has made a world of difference to my lifestyle.
What started as a primary motive to shed few kilograms / inches turned out to be a holistic approach towards healthy eating, managing calorie deficit, strength training as a routine and overall stress management...... in short, healthy living. Not only did I quickly lose few extra kilos and inches, but I also developed a good habit of daily walks as well as regular core strength training, which has been extremely helpful to my overall quality of life.
